No weeding lets play!

Last night I went to this web site photo effects tutorial and was able to follow the directions and make my own POP ART pictures.

I'm using photoshop 6.
As much fun as this is, I have a huge urge to do some real get your hands messy art. I'm off to pull out some paint and clay, unless I put my new lens on the camera and go out and shoot.....so much to do so little time.
Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone.Pablo Picasso

Art Quilt

The other day I posted a photo of a Cedar Waxwing I took and one after messing with it in Photoshop. I then had a brain storm to print it on fabric, I had a piece of canvas that I painted with gesso and ironed stabilizer on the back for a project from about a year ago, I cut it to 8.5 x 11 and sent it through the printer. Eureka !!! I then stared to print everything in sight, photos and text. I ran out of the canvas so I turned to muslin and did a similar treatment, oh happy days it worked again with only one jam. Yes I had to go to the store for more ink. So now I have all this fabric with my images on it (kinda fun) so I need to make something out of it.

3d nest made with timtex like a bowl. The little piece that says nest is layered with text in photoshop and printed on same fabric. Click on photo to see close up.

I made some cards out of the same image and other images made the same way shown below and some of my papercuts.

Adobe Photoshop and Birds

Last night I was out at Mc Menamins Edgefield and came upon this beautiful Cedar Waxwing, it must have been no farther away than six feet. I was so excited and had my new camera in hand. The bird was collecting a small dry piece of twig I think for a nest, I watched as it flew into a dense tree.

Today I played with Adobe Photoshop 6.0, it is under $100 and not hard to use. With that said you do have to mess around and play for a bit to find all the tricks it can do. I’m still learning and having fun with it, as you can see I changed the colors drew funky flowers into the background and made the little pink berry's, I added a star to the eye and did a watercolor effect This image will be made into cards.
If you click on this picture you can really see the detail of photoshop.
